Teaching

In the 2025 academic year, I served as an instructor for “Introduction to Mathematics, Data Science and AI” (数理・データサイエンス・AI入門), a university-wide general education course (Innovation Education subject) at Yokohama National University. The course is a core component of the YOKOHAMA MDA Program (a government-accredited Mathematics, Data Science and AI education program at the literacy level) and is open to students across all faculties.

Objectives

The course helps students acquire the foundational literacy needed to make use of mathematics, data science, and AI in everyday life and work. It emphasizes understanding the data around us, reading and visualising data, and leanrning the fundamentals of optimisation and machine learning such as lenear regression, convolution network, and transformer.
